Cool! That worked for me. I didn’t collate the results after the test and someone restarted load runner servers. I had similar error.

Your file should be your test Id with an LRR extension, for example: 1234.lrr

That was a great tip. I had the same problem and landed up here by google. I did the same mod to the lrr file. Was able to retrieve some results, but not all. But it was a good recovery to some extent
